Job Summary
Salaried Substitute- ESL responsible for supporting teaching and learning in the Allentown School District by collaborating with staff, assisting in curriculum implementation, maintaining records and reports, employing varied instructional strategies, diagnosing student progress, and using appropriate technology to enhance instruction. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, an active PA instructional certificate, and comprehensive background clearances. Will uphold school rules, communicate with administrators and families, participate in curriculum development, and contribute to a positive, professional learning environment within the district.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Hold a valid and active Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate
- Criminal history and child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 151 and FBI)
- Ability to perform essential duties; dependability and professional conduct
- Experience collaborating with staff and managing classroom operations
- Familiarity with curriculum, assessment, and student progress
- Proficiency in employing diverse instructional strategies and technology enhancements
