Job Summary
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of employees while hiring, training, and onboarding new staff. Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring the facility is fully stocked, clean, and running smoothly according to quality standards. Manage labor, food, and inventory expenses to control costs and meet profit goals, including daily cash balancing and depositing. Address employee issues, customer complaints, and operational challenges promptly, enforcing health and safety regulations. Create and manage employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours. This role reports to the General Manager within a multi-million dollar business owned by Manna Inc., an affiliate of several restaurant concepts founded in 1988.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of management experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry
- Experience in a fast-casual or quick-service restaurant
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience in managing budgets, controlling costs, and achieving financial targets
- Ability to quickly analyze situations and develop effective solutions to operational or customer-related issues
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and staff
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4-8+ hours) with periodic breaks
- Capability to walk up and down stairs and use a step ladder as needed
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to move around the kitchen quickly and efficiently
- Compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Work in a loud, fast-paced environment
- Awareness of temperature fluctuations and safe practices
- Adaptability to different environments
- Awareness of potential hazards such as hot surfaces, sharp objects, and wet floors
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-casual or quick-service restaurant is highly preferred
