Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate mobility, coordination, strength, and functional levels. Administer, evaluate, and interpret tests to determine functional goals and outcomes, then provide written evaluations defining occupational therapy needs and expected results. Deliver services per physician orders while maintaining care plans through timely documentation, goal modification, and discharge planning that includes educating patients and caretakers on home exercise routines. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and families to coordinate care, document effectively to prevent denials, and supervise other personnel as applicable. Complete OASIS assessments where permitted and serve as a clinical resource consultant for staff.
