Job Summary
Operate a Class 2 vehicle for multi-drop deliveries to Sainsbury's convenience stores and regional distribution centres, safely unloading caged or palletised goods via tail lift and kerbside methods. Complete accurate delivery documentation, collect empty cages and waste materials, and maintain vehicle cleanliness while reporting defects. Adhere to tachograph regulations, driver hours legislation, and company transport policies, attending mandatory training to maintain CPC certification. Work day shifts on a 4-week rota starting between 12:00-14:00, with a requirement for a valid HGV licence, 12 months experience, and a clean driving record.
Required Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
- Minimum of 12 months HGV driving experience
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
