Job Summary
SAH Echocardiogram Technician at Brown University Health in Fall River, MA: perform and initially interpret Cardiac Echo Studies including Two-Dimensional Echo, Doppler, and Contrast Studies; provide superior service to patients and internal/external clients; prepare patients for Echo; operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; communicate preliminary results to treating physicians and deliver final interpretation to the physician for formal interpretation; participate in performance improvement initiatives and maintain documentation and reports; ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure; collaborate with cardiologists, primary care physicians, and other departments to support delivery of cardiovascular imaging services; adhere to organizational values and success factors of compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer is required
- Five (5) or more years working experience performing Echocardiograms preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including customer service skills
- Ability to operate equipment and provide accurate preliminary interpretation of test results
- Ability to maintain the safety, integrity and comfort of the patients at all times
