Job Summary
Automation Lead role overseeing a team of Automation Engineers to strengthen operational capability and standardization in Biologics manufacturing. Responsibilities include direct line management and mentoring, aligning automation objectives with operations, coordinating schedules and delivering on MES/DCS automation initiatives, managing a local Center of Excellence for MES and DeltaV, and acting as SME for DeltaV and Syncade systems, GMP lifecycle management, and biological manufacturing. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), 5+ years in Biologics GMP manufacturing, advanced DeltaV/MES/GMP automation knowledge, and demonstrated leadership with cross-functional collaboration. English is required; German is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biochemistry, or related fields, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in Biologics GMP manufacturing with operational experience
- Advanced knowledge of DeltaV, MES and GMP manufacturing principles and compliance in automation
- Leadership skills including ability to lead teams, drive results, and collaborate across departments
- Proficiency in English; German proficiency is a plus
