Safety Training Manager - Haskell (34263)

Job Summary

Administer the site Health and Safety Plan, ensuring full compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards across all trades. Monitor safety performance metrics including TRIR, DART, and leading indicators; investigate incidents and near-misses to complete root cause analysis and drive corrective actions. Deliver in-house Smith System driver training, IVES forklift, aerial lift, and MEWP operator certification, OSHA 10 and 30, and First Aid, AED, and CPR courses to the site workforce. Conduct new-hire safety orientations, toolbox talks, and task-specific training while enforcing site safety standards and stop-work authority when conditions pose risk. Maintain OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 recordkeeping, SDS library, training matrix, and all project safety documentation. Represent the company to OSHA, insurance carriers, and owner-representative safety teams. Collaborate with project management, superintendents, and subcontractor safety personnel to align safety requirements with construction activities. Work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, with overtime as required based on project needs.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in construction safety management
  • 5+ years on mission-critical, industrial, or hyperscale data center projects
  • CHST
  • Smith System Certified Trainer
  • IVES Certified Trainer (forklift, AWP, and MEWP)
  • current First Aid, AED, and CPR Instructor certification (AHA or ARC)
  • OSHA 500 Authorized Outreach Trainer for Construction
  • willingness to obtain OSHA 500 Authorized Outreach Trainer for Construction within 6 months of hire
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • ability to work on active construction sites in all weather conditions
  • ability to wear required PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, and task-specific PPE
  • Must be able to navigate and inspect all areas of an active job site
  • ability to walk, climb, reach, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Possess good vision and hearing, normal or corrected
  • Must be able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week
  • ability to work overtime as required based on project needs
  • ability to work in the presence of customers and their representatives while maintaining a professional and courteous image

Desired Qualifications

  • CSP
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Construction Management
  • STS-C certification
  • NFPA 70E certification
  • HAZWOPER 40-Hour certification
  • Confined Space Competent Person certification
  • Prior experience on Microsoft, Meta, AWS, Google, or Oracle owner-representative projects
  • Deep working knowledge of 29 CFR 1926, 29 CFR 1910, 29 CFR 1904, and ANSI A92/Z359 standards
  • Proficient in safety management platforms; experience with ISNetworld, Avetta, Procore, Autodesk, HammerTech, or equivalent
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
