Job Summary
Coordinate the implementation of the environmental, health & safety program and conduct internal audits to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors. Facilitate accident investigations, guide root cause correction development, and collect safety metrics data for trend analysis. Using provided materials, coordinate or conduct all safety training to employees with emphasis on Powered Industrial Trucks. Monitor corrective action status, provide feedback to leadership, and facilitate safety committee meetings for two-way communication. Perform ergonomic assessments and apply regulatory requirements to identify unsafe behaviors. Conduct surveillance performed by outside resources and implement best safety practices. This role works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience within safety training
- Problem solving using safety tools & methodology
- Systemic maintenance of records and task list
- Demonstrated training facilitation skills
- Team building – ability to involve employees and the leadership team in the process
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical aptitude required to achieve root cause and recommend appropriate corrective actions
- Excellent Computer skills – Power point, Excel, Word, Visio and Project
- Travel up to 10%
- Minimum Requirements: 3+ years experience within safety training

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to interpreting regulatory requirements (OSHA) and apply them to the workplace
- Use of regulatory requirements (OSHA) to assist in identifying unsafe behaviors and unsafe conditions in the workplace
- Working knowledge of ergonomic principals and ability to perform ergonomic assessments
- Knowledge of Behavior Based Safety concepts and ability to illicit the involvement of Leaders & employees in correcting undesirable behaviors
