Job Summary
Safety Trainer I delivers top-quality safety training to internal and external clients, serving as a safety resource and subject-matter expert. Responsibilities include conducting Respirator Fit Testing, CPR/Medic First Aid Training, and some basic specialized training; conducting monthly safety meetings; maintaining course documentation; creating Sales Orders and Cash Receipts; and traveling to customer sites (drive-required) with 80-90 hour weeks possible. Requires front-of-group public speaking, a HS diploma/GED (associates or higher preferred), 1 year of industry experience, a valid driver’s license, English literacy, adherence to safety policies, proficiency with PPE, and ability to operate a company vehicle for client-site visits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-year industry experience
- Experience with H2S training & Respirator Fit Testing a plus
- Ability to speak in front of large groups
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured by company policy
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English
- Must understand and follow all safety policies
- Must become proficient in the care and use of site-specific PPE
- Must be able to work at customer job sites and office/classroom environments
- Flexibility for overtime, holidays, weekends, extended hours
