Safety Technician

Job Summary
The Safety Technician at Total Safety is responsible for providing EH&S support to operational areas, including performing observations and safety audits of work activities. Key duties include conducting audits of safety practices, improving site safety performance, and coaching personnel on hazard awareness. Candidates should have an occupational safety/health degree or equivalent experience, possess a strong understanding of safety regulations, and have proficiency in computer communications and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Occupational safety/health degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or industrial related safety and health experience.
- Thorough understanding of federal, state, local, company and client regulations.
- Ability to recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measures.
- Computer literacy sufficient to communicate effectively through emails and prepare written reports.
