Safety Technician

Job Summary
Conduct regular workplace safety inspections to identify and assess potential hazards. Develop and implement safety plans and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Train employees on workplace safety protocols and investigate incidents to determine causes and recommend preventive measures. Maintain records of safety incidents and track corrective action progress while collaborating with departments to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations. Requires minimum two years managing injuries, CSST certification, and knowledge of federal laws. Full-time role in Port Lavaca, TX with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401K.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA laws and regulations
- Min 2 yrs. experience managing injuries
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral
- Proactive approach to problem solving (critical thinker)
- Proficient computer skills
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lb
- Must be able to drive a vehicle for local travel
Desired Qualifications
- Crane & Rigging, Industrial, and/or Construction background
- Degree in Occupational Safety & Health
- Minimum CSST safety certification
