Job Summary
Safety Technician on 2nd shift at JCB NA in Pooler, GA, focused on supporting OSHA general industry manufacturing programs, environmental responsibilities, incident investigations, EHS performance reporting, sustainability initiatives, inspections and audits, and training employees on forklift and PIT operations. The role emphasizes providing safety and health guidance to employees and contractors, developing presentations and documentation, and maintaining strong recordkeeping. The position requires hands-on work on the manufacturing floor, cross-functional coordination, and adherence to safety and environmental policies.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years related experience in general industry manufacturing
- OSHA 10/30 card preferred
- experience with OSHA programs and environmental compliance is a plus
- ability to train and certify employees on forklifts and PITs
- strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- effective communication and confidentiality
- flexible schedule (including Friday-Sunday 6am-6pm) and physical ability to lift up to 50lbs as described
