Job Summary
The Safety Team Member is responsible for assisting students and staff during crisis situations to ensure a safe and orderly educational program. Key duties include maintaining awareness of treatment plans for students, effective communication with education staff, attending required training sessions, supervising students during transitions, and providing crisis assistance as necessary. The role emphasizes developing nurturing relationships with students and participating in activities that support their comprehensive development. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED and ideally have experience with at-risk youth.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- An equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities.
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year experience with at risk youth and/or youth with special education needs preferred.
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively.
- Maintains up to date Certification in TCI.
- Problem solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
