Job Summary
Lead the functional safety activities for Wayve’s ADS and its integration into vehicle platforms or third-party safety-critical systems. Build safety concepts, perform HARAs/FMEAs/FTAs, define system architecture with decompositions, support SW HW safety requirements, define test specifications across integration levels, and develop the Safety case with structured claims, arguments, and evidence. Contribute to safety work products for production projects, and collaborate with process and compliance teams to keep safety processes up to date. Requires deep ISO 26262 knowledge (parts 3,4,5,6,8,9), vehicle-level testing experience, and the ability to manage safety-related supplier activities. The role is full-time and based in Sunnyvale, CA (hybrid) with a competitive salary and equity, and a commitment to an inclusive interview process.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience applying ISO 26262 across automotive systems (parts 3,4,5,6,8,9)
- Experience conducting vehicle-level testing to verify and validate safety concept
- Ability to define test specifications and safety cases
- Ability to collaborate with design, SW, and compliance teams to update safety processes

- SOTIF knowledge
