Safety & Sustainability Specialist

Job Summary
Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, audits, and workplace evaluations to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to implement preventative measures while maintaining accurate records of all activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver training programs on safe work practices, emergency procedures, and equipment use. Collect, analyze, and report greenhouse gas data across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions to support sustainability goals and drive environmental initiatives. Assist with energy efficiency improvements, waste reduction projects, and sustainable procurement practices. Participate in safety committees, 5S audits, and employee engagement programs to foster a culture of safety and stewardship. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field required with two to five years of experience. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between company locations for inspections and audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two to five years of experience in safety, environmental, sustainability, facilities, manufacturing, distribution, or related operations
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, environmental regulations, sustainability principles, and safety management practices
- Experience conducting inspections, audits, incident investigations, environmental assessments, and risk assessments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate data and recommend practical solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train and influence employees at all organizational levels
- Experience with safety management systems, incident reporting tools, environmental reporting platforms, and Microsoft Office applications
- Project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to develop collaborative relationships and promote a strong culture of safety and sustainability
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to travel between company locations for inspections, audits, training, and project activities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respond effectively during emergency situations
- Ability to adhere to Lands' End attendance expectations
Desired Qualifications
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain certification
