Job Summary
Safety Support Associate at Goodwill focuses on creating a safe, welcoming environment through theft deterrence, hazard prevention, and incident readiness. Responsibilities include a greet-and-guide protocol, proactive patrols, routine safety inspections, coordinating drills and safety campaigns, using NetTrack for reporting, de-escalation and crisis intervention, community engagement, and serving as Safety Captain for evacuation readiness and tornado drills, while maintaining visibility near exits and supporting store operations and customer service. The role emphasizes collaboration with management, security protocols, incident analysis, and continuous training to adapt to changing conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of college education or experience equivalency.
- A minimum of one continuous year of security experience with frequent public contact.
- Excellent inter-personal communications skills.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in both verbal and written form with customers, co-workers, supervisors and subordinates.
