Job Summary
Mentor drivers through safety assessments, ride-along evaluations, and annual training while investigating motor vehicle accidents, injuries, and incidents of wrongdoing. Complete federal and state forms for driver licensing, manage the e-Driver Log System, and administer the DOT Drug and Alcohol program including random and post-accident testing. Support hiring of Class A CDL drivers via road tests and interviews, coordinate safety meetings, and serve as the community liaison for driver safety issues. Track training records in TMW and ensure fleet operations comply with FMCSA, OSHA, and C-TPAT regulations. Assist the DOT Safety Manager in maintaining safety and compliance metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Associate's degree
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience in a business environment
- Professional experience and associated skills in a safety management function
- Prior experience as a Compliance & Safety Supervisor
- Excellent personal computer skills
- Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Spread sheeting skills
