Job Summary
Lead and administer aviation safety programs supporting aircraft, drone, maintenance, and hangar operations. Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and corrective action plans while ensuring compliance with DCMA INST 8210, OSHA, FAA, and military safety requirements. Conduct safety reviews, audits, inspections, and risk evaluations; investigate incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Coordinate safety training programs and maintain documentation for certifications and compliance. Partner with leadership and operational teams to foster a proactive safety culture. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Safety or Aviation, Secret Security Clearance, and experience with FAA and OSHA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Aviation, Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related field
- minimum of 10 years of supervisory or leadership experience in aviation safety, industrial safety, military operations, or regulatory compliance
- Must be eligible for and able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance
- Documented experience in aviation safety, industrial safety, or related compliance environments
- Strong knowledge of FAA, OSHA, military aviation safety, fire protection, and occupational health requirements
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing safety programs, policies, and training initiatives
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to conduct audits, inspections, investigations, and compliance reviews
- Experience working in highly regulated aerospace, aviation, defense, or industrial environments
