Safety Supervisor

Track all safety data and send regular updates to management. Prepare, communicate, and conduct regular safety training sessions. Handle mentoring, coaching, and retraining following all safety-sensitive issues. Visit driver delivery sites to conduct safety audits on drivers, equipment, and store facilities. Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards. Lead ongoing Smith System training and yearly recertification processes. Review accident file contents for accuracy, needed retraining, and documentation. Take accident, first aid, and workers' compensation reports. Input all reports into the Hogan Safety software program. This role includes travel and overnight stays. The ideal candidate has experience in the transportation industry and understands specific safety issues inherent to Dollar General.
