Job Summary
Promote and reinforce a Behavioral Based Safety culture focused on reducing accidents and injuries. Supervise daily safety and compliance activities, ensuring driver qualification files and regulatory documentation meet DOT and FMCSA standards. Conduct safety audits, investigate incidents to identify root causes, and administer onboard monitoring systems like DriveCam and Samsara. Deliver driver training, coordinate safety meetings, and perform evaluations and road tests. Partner with Operations leadership to implement corrective action plans and support internal and regulatory audits. Requires 3+ years in transportation safety, strong DOT/FMCSA knowledge, and ability to work flexible evening and weekend schedules. Salary range $75,000–$80,000.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in passenger transportation, fleet operations, safety, compliance, or a related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory, lead, or transportation safety experience
- Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends as operational needs require
