Job Summary
The Safety Supervisor is responsible for supporting safety and health processes within the plant, assisting the safety manager in leading the organization's safety efforts. Key responsibilities include monitoring compliance with OSHA requirements, developing facility policies, creating and delivering safety training, conducting facility assessments, and improving safety culture. The role requires 2 to 4 years of experience in safety and health within industrial operations, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field from an accredited university or college.
- 2 to 4 years of occupational safety and health experience in industrial operations.
- Knowledgeable of federal, state, and local regulations as well as relevant consensus standards (e.g., ANSI, NFPA).
- Ability to coach and train employees.
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis education or experience.
- Knowledge of Behavioral Safety Auditing techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
