Job Summary
Develop and implement strategies to advance safety performance and strengthen facility safety culture. Lead, coach, and develop safety and security personnel while fostering engagement through communication and training. Ensure regulatory compliance by managing audits, inspections, and corrective action programs to mitigate occupational risks. Maintain safety programs through performance monitoring, trend analysis, and accurate documentation. Provide effective training and represent the facility on corporate, industry, regulatory, and community committees. Oversee emergency response, security, and preparedness programs while complying with internal control requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive safety experience in an industrial environment
- Experience leading safety programs, compliance initiatives, and risk management systems
- Previous supervisory or people leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of safety, health, industrial hygiene, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to influence culture change and collaborate across the organization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CRSP, CIH, COSS, ROH, CMIOSH, MPH, or equivalent
