Safety Specialist (Swing and Weekend Shift)

Job Summary
Conduct routine safety inspections, workplace audits, and Job Hazard Analyses. Identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and track completion of these items. Lead incident, injury, and near-miss investigations while administering regulatory programs including Lockout/Tagout and Hazard Communication. Deliver employee safety training, monitor contractor performance, and maintain OSHA logs. Participate in emergency response planning and drills. Promote safety culture through committees and observations. Work swing and weekend shifts in Hamilton, WA, with off-shift premium pay.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED
- 2+ years' experience in workplace safety and compliance
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in the English language
- Strong analytical abilities and the ability to manage data effectively
- Strong decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written forms with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts
- Comprehensive PC skills, including MS Office (Excel/Access/Word/PowerPoint)
- Ability to learn and use new systems
- Ability to work off/split shifts as required
- US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)
Desired Qualifications
- College degree
- 2 years of relevant experience
- 5+ years in manufacturing, industrial, or construction safety
- Experience with ISO standards
