Safety Specialist

Job Summary
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures specific to roofing operations. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on job sites to identify hazards, identify corrective measures, and train employees on safety standards. Ensure OSHA compliance and assist in investigating accidents, maintaining records of inspections, training, and incidents. Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to uphold safety standards, monitor safety performance, and assist with emergency response planning and drills. Requires experience in roofing/construction safety, strong communication and training skills, and knowledge of OSHA regulations; certification in occupational health and safety (OSHA 30-Hour, CHST) is preferred; HS diploma with 3 years of safety experience or Bachelor’s degree in safety management preferred. Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Safety professional in roofing or construction
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards related to roofing
- Strong communication and training skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, CHST) is preferred
- High School Diploma and 3 years of safety experience, Bachelor’s degree in safety management or related field is preferred
