Job Summary
Oversee and enforce all safety measures on active construction projects by inspecting work areas, equipment, and employee habits to ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines and company procedures. Identify and mitigate workplace hazards, respond quickly to emergency situations, and maintain safety documentation while monitoring near-miss incidents. Conduct internal and customer-site safety audits, lead on-site safety meetings, and collaborate with leadership to analyze trends and implement corrective actions. Provide safety expertise to employees, subcontractors, and clients throughout projects, serving as the primary contact for risk and safety program administration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Associate's degree in occupational health and safety, Management, and/or a minimum of 1 year of experience in a health and safety role
- Industry-recognized certifications such as OSHA 500, CSHO, CHST, STS-C etc.
- Negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test
- Valid Driver's License
- Proof of U.S. citizenship
- Score of a 2 or less in a DISA background screen
- Ability to pass a pulmonary fit test
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally
