Job Summary
Lead and mentor facility teams to implement effective health, safety, environmental, and loss prevention programs. Evaluate operations, processes, and equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and facility-written policies, providing coaching and training to employees including new hire onboarding and refresher sessions. Conduct risk assessments, analyze safety performance data, and drive action plans to meet targets while performing inspections and audits. Investigate and resolve incident investigations, coordinate follow-up activities, and prepare comprehensive reports for regulatory submissions and corrective action tracking. Provide guidance to facility leadership on safe operations and maintain required safety documentation. Requires 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing and safety environment with the ability to read OSHA 1910 standards.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and correctly interpret OSHA 1910 standards
- Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with management and shop floor employees
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to safely perform tasks and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing and safety environment, or a relevant safety-related educational background
