SAFETY SPECIALIST

Job Summary
Conduct safety audits across multiple facilities to identify and correct unsafe conditions and acts. Coordinate annual safety training and provide ongoing instruction of OSHA required disciplines. Maintain accurate employee training records, safety reports, and documentation to demonstrate regulatory compliance. Review documents to reflect changing regulations and best practices, then participate in accident investigations to determine root causes. Collaborate with departmental representatives to track corrective actions and address safety concerns. Stay informed about regulatory changes and ensure organizational alignment with safety goals. This role may work in classrooms, offices, and high-traffic production floors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience
- 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience
- Knowledge of OSHA safety disciplines, other regulatory guidelines, and common industrial safety practices
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products
