Job Summary

Safety Specialist responsible for implementing safety policies and programs to create and maintain an accident-free workplace. Duties include conducting OSHA-required safety training, coordinating annual training, maintaining training records, reviewing documents for hazards, conducting safety audits across multiple facilities, aligning safety programs with organizational goals, participating in incident investigations, collaborating with departments to address safety concerns, writing detailed corrective-action recommendations, staying updated on regulatory changes, and maintaining documentation to demonstrate compliance. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2-4 years of relevant experience; safety training/certificates preferred. Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational skills, ability to multitask and manage time, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a commitment to safety compliance are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Safety training and certificates preferred
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety disciplines, other regulatory guidelines, and common industrial safety practices
  • Competencies: Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products
