Job Summary
Conduct routine safety inspections, workplace audits, and Job Hazard Analyses to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. Lead incident, injury, and near-miss investigations while administering regulatory programs including Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, and Respiratory Protection. Deliver employee safety training, monitor contractor safety performance, and track corrective actions until completion. Maintain OSHA logs, participate in emergency response planning, and promote engagement through safety committees and observations. Work off/split shifts as required, with a base wage of $20-$40 per hour plus discretionary bonus.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED
- 2+ years' experience in workplace safety and compliance
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in the English language
- Strong analytical abilities and the ability to manage data effectively
- Strong decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written forms with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts
- Comprehensive PC skills, including MS Office (Excel/Access/Word/PowerPoint)
- Ability to learn and use new systems
- Ability to work off/split shifts as required
- US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)
Desired Qualifications
- College degree
- 2 years of relevant experience
- 5+ years in manufacturing, industrial, or construction safety
- Experience with ISO standards
