Job Summary
Hyperbaric Tech performs hyperbaric oxygen therapy under physician orders, ensuring safe and effective operation of hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems, with a focus on delivering therapy safely to patients. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and will require a Hyperbaric Chamber Operator certificate within 60 days; prior experience in military medical services, EMT-Basic/Paramedic/LPN/RMA/CMA/CHT is preferred. Role involves daily patient care, operating HBOT equipment, and ensuring safety in a clinical setting at Mercy Hospital Springfield - Wound Care Clinic; position is full-time, Monday–Friday, days.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hyperbaric Chamber Operator certificate within 60 days
- Experience in healthcare or medical services preferred (EMT-Basic/Paramedic/LPN/RMA/CMA/CHT)
- Ability to operate hyperbaric chamber and related systems
- Safe delivery of hyperbaric oxygen therapy
- Floating within department as needed
