Job Summary
Partner with project teams to promote safe work practices across active construction sites, conduct routine field inspections, and coordinate the Voluntary Protection Program and drug-free workplace initiatives. Attend project kickoff meetings to identify hazards and develop safety plans, while monitoring adherence to OSHA, DOT, and client standards. Investigate accidents and near misses to identify root causes and assist with corrective actions, supporting the development and continuous improvement of safety policies. Requires three years of heavy civil construction safety experience, current CHST or CSP certification, and OSHA 500/510 credentials. Salary ranges from $65,000–$100,000 with performance bonuses and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of construction safety experience
- Current CHST or CSP certification
- OSHA 500 and OSHA 510 certifications
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, DOT requirements, and construction safety best practices
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with field personnel and management
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting roadway, highway, underground utility, earthwork, excavation, or site development projects
