Job Summary
Develop safety programs by providing administrative and technical advice to management and employees. Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws while reviewing and updating safety procedures. Coordinate training to promote employee safety awareness and execute the tactical strategy of the Company Safety Program. Collect hazard analysis data, conduct investigations, and report safety trends to drive accountability. Serve as a key stakeholder in Department Safety Committees and manage incentive programs. Act as the Safety Officer during emergencies and make recommendations on disciplinary action. Partner with stakeholders across the business to secure buy-in on safety initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety & Health, or CSP certified
- 2+ years of job-related experience
- Flexible scheduling to include nights and weekends
- Bi-lingual; speak, read & write Spanish fluently
- Proficiency with SharePoint, Word, Excel, Power-Point
- Knowledgeable on Federal, State and local laws, including OSHA / NFPA / Workers' Compensation
- Knowledgeable of safety and health regulations, regulatory agency interaction processes, and incident response
- Attention to details with an ability to conduct thorough and high-quality investigations
- Ability to remain calm and collected in potentially high-pressure situations
- Customer service-centric; understands the business and tailors approach appropriately
