Job Summary
Safety Specialist to support and coordinate safety programs across fabrication, manufacturing, and field operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting inspections, delivering safety training, investigating accidents and incidents, developing JHAs, maintaining safety records, and supporting OSHA-related reporting and hazard mitigation. The role emphasizes collaboration with employees, supervisors, and leadership to promote safe work practices and continuous improvement in safety culture in an industrial environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of safety-related experience in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, or a related industry
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general workplace safety practices
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other standard business software
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Proof of U.S. citizenship due to government contract requirements
- Preferred Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Technology, or a related field
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), or similar certification
- Experience in welding, fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Experience conducting safety training and incident investigations
