Job Summary
Coordinate daily safety reporting, collect and analyze safety metrics, and prepare incident documentation and alerts. Assist with new hire onboarding, implement site safety plans, and conduct hazard evaluations during daily safety meetings. Monitor Safe Work Practices and Safety Management System programs to ensure compliance with regulations. Evaluate hazards in work tasks and JhA's with the team, and schedule required safety training. Perform assignments of moderate complexity following direction from safety and site leadership teams. This role supports the Safety department in engineering and construction operations, requiring proficiency in Microsoft products and strong technical writing skills for plan development.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret policies, programs, and regulations
- Good written, verbal communication, and organizational skills
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and ensure prompt completion of tasks and assignments
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
- Relies on minimal instructions and pre-established guidelines and timetables to perform the functions of the job
- Must have familiarity with a variety of subject matter including fall protection, rigging, electrical, steel erection and excavations
- Ability to apply effective safety management processes
- The ability to work with owners, construction managers and contractors
- A behavior-based approach to safety
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft products
- Able to develop various plans and reports utilizing good technical writing skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge of the HVAC/Mechanical Contracting industries
- Bilingual language skills to include Spanish
- OSHA 10 and or OSHA 30
