Job Summary
Conduct rounds and observe assigned patients at risk for suicide or injury under the supervision of a Manager, Patient Care Services, or Designee. Provide daily monitoring for individuals at high risk to themselves or others while maintaining patient safety protocols. Maintain CPR certification within six months and ensure flu and COVID-19 vaccination compliance or submit an exemption statement. Work flexible per diem shifts including weekend rotations, with one major summer and one major winter holiday off each schedule. This role supports Southcoast Health's mission to deliver inclusive, ethical care in local communities throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Required Qualifications
- Equal to completion of four years of high school or equivalent
- Education and experience equivalent to one (1) year of experience
- CPR certification required within six months
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- one major summer and one major winter holiday, two weekend shifts per schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Additional secondary healthcare training including mental health training
- Proficient computer skills including medical based programs
- Previous similar patient care experience
