Job Summary
Evaluate youth and families for treatment needs and refer to appropriate resources. Analyze client situations to determine services required to control safety threats and exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate in emergency and crisis situations. Conduct face-to-face contact with families to ensure safety and cooperation with safety plans, while safely transporting clients as needed. Act as a resource to evaluate and determine necessary responses in de-escalating crisis situations with youth and families. Provide timely client updates to other involved employees and agencies. Support families after youth have been reunified following an out-of-home placement. Assist with Supervised Visitation Program transport to family visits.
Required Qualifications
- completed Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related
- reliable transportation on a daily basis
- valid driver's license
- automobile insurance
- Must be available for weekends
- Must be available for weekday afternoons/evenings
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience working with at-risk youth and families
