Job Summary
Establish and maintain a therapeutic alliance with families, caregivers, and service providers while overseeing impending danger plans for youth in foster care. Collaborate with DCFS, Intact teams, and placement staff to develop these plans, assess safety service provider suitability, and identify barriers to successful implementation. Visit child and family teams as required to ensure understanding of the written plans and attend safety management meetings to discuss plan sufficiency or necessary changes. Respond promptly to inquiries regarding potential involvement in in-home impending danger plans and provide background check information to Intact Family Services Workers. This full-time, exempt role at Caritas Family Solutions requires frequent travel, a valid driver's license, and liability insurance, with a starting salary of $40,832 to $58,000.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate degree from an accredited community college or Bachelor's degree in Social Work or in Human Services
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- At least 2 years' work experience in their area of job responsibility
- Trauma-informed: Must display a willingness to adopt trauma informed interventions, principles, and practices as well as commitment to ongoing development of their capacity for application of trauma informed care
- Proficient Computer Skills In: Outlook, Word, Database Management Software
- Expert Computer Skills In: Outlook, Word, Database Management Software
- Access to reliable transportation to get to/from work
- Access to a reliable automobile
- Must provide proof of auto liability insurance
- Must possess a valid driver's license

Desired Qualifications
