Job Summary
Conduct safety and security inspections weekly, oversee security officers, and investigate incidents involving guests, associates, and visitors. Manage crime prevention, loss prevention, and safety awareness programs while coordinating special events and emergency contingency planning. Assist with security training, resolve security-related problems, and prepare reports on internal investigations and policy violations. Maintain high personal appearance standards, use proper radio etiquette, and approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Perform garage and dock area inspections, attend required meetings, and execute other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate of Completion in Safety and Security Training (must comply with State requirements)
- CPR First Aid and Heimlich maneuver Certified
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Must be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Must maintain composure and objectivity while under pressure
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
