Job Summary
Patrol designated areas, monitor surveillance and access control systems, and staff the Command Center while verifying guests at the Welcome Point. Perform building inspections, rekey locks, and respond to incidents or emergency situations within three minutes. Maintain security controls, complete necessary documentation, and escalate emergencies as required. Work the 3rd shift from 10:45pm to 7:15am with a starting rate of $19.00/hour. Hold a valid driver's license and preferred CPR/AED certification. Join our team at Q Center, the Midwest's premier full-service conference venue.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Valid driver's license
- Certified in CPR/AED/First-Aid or the ability to be certified
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently
- Comfortable walking for extended periods
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Ability to respond to life safety emergencies within three minutes
- Attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests and fellow associates
- Ability to perform all required tasks of Patrol Officer
- Ability to perform all required tasks at Welcome Point
- Ability to perform all required tasks in Command Center
- Adherence to safety and security procedures
- Ability to watch for and report irregularities, such as facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations
- Ability to respond to incidents and situations in a calm, problem solving manner
- Ability to assist with emergency response activities
- Ability to successfully patrol designated areas in accordance with outlined procedures
- Ability to maintain security controls for issued keys/radios
- Ability to identify potential security risks and respond accordingly
- Ability to complete any necessary documentation as required
- Ability to escalate emergency situations as needed
- Ability to monitor security technology systems
- Familiarity with evacuation, shelter-in-place and relocation procedures
- Availability for flexible and long hours
- Ability to be available for weekend shifts
- Ability to work the 3rd shift (10:45pm - 7:15am)
