Job Summary
Conduct routine safety inspections, security tours, and dorm inspections to identify hazards and maintain a secure Center environment. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare required reports, and recommend corrective actions while enforcing occupational safety regulations. Respond to emergency situations, manage visitor control, and monitor student behavior with appropriate supervision. Provide residential, recreation, and transportation assistance as needed, and mentor students to uphold Career Success Standards. Accept direction from Center leadership and perform other duties assigned to ensure effective services for the student population.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid in-State Driver's License
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance
- Physical ability to sit, stand, climb, walk, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching
- Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data
- Ability to conduct routine safety inspections and assessments of all Center equipment and facilities to identify potential safety and security hazards
- Ability to enforce occupational safety and health regulations and standards
- Ability to conduct and document incident and accident investigations per established timelines and requirements
- Ability to conduct routine Center-wide security tours and assist with monitoring and supervision of students
- Ability to respond to emergency situations and requests
- Ability to maintain the security and cleanliness of Center facilities and property
- Ability to provide residential, recreation and transportation assistance as required
- Ability to produce quality work and complete assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner
- Ability to maintain appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards
- Ability to plan, prioritize and organize assignments to meet established goals and deadlines
- Ability to understand and apply job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities
- Ability to proactively maintain the skills required to perform job duties
- Ability to mentor, monitor and model the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH
- Ability to provide high-quality supervision and management for the student population
- Ability to take swift and appropriate action and positively influence student behavior
- Ability to show respect and courtesy to students and hold them accountable for their actions and behavior
- Ability to provide quality programs and services for students and ensure that quality is maintained and student needs are met
- Ability to pursue improvement and enhancement of programs and services
- Ability to exchange ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to contribute meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge
- Ability to provide quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested
- Ability to effectively articulate thoughts and ideas
- Ability to identify problems, analyze causes and evaluate appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions
- Ability to follow up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact corrected
- Ability to work in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students
- Ability to accept direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager
- Ability to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and positions as assigned
