Job Summary
Patrol campus buildings and grounds, monitor facilities for security breaches, and respond to emergencies, alarms, and safety concerns. Verify identification, manage visitor access, and assist with parking and traffic control. Conduct preliminary investigations, prepare daily activity logs and incident reports, and maintain safety equipment like fire extinguishers. Partner with staff and law enforcement to address incidents while promoting positive behavior through conflict resolution and student mentoring. Support student accountability via check-in/check-out procedures and participate in campus health and safety inspections. Complete all required training and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in security, law enforcement, public safety, corrections, military, or a related field
- Strong observation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies
- Ability to write clear and accurate reports
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with young adults or in an educational environment
- CPR, First Aid, or other public safety certifications (preferred but not required)
