Job Summary
Monitor work areas to identify potential safety hazards and unsafe conditions, conduct routine safety inspections throughout production, warehouse, and work areas, and ensure employees follow company safety policies and procedures. Assist with new-hire safety orientations, communicate safety rules and expectations, and provide reminders when unsafe practices are observed. Report hazards, incidents, and near misses to management, assist with accident documentation, and maintain safety records and inspection logs. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and machinery, participate in safety meetings, and support emergency procedures. Perform other safety and general labor duties as assigned during the Pomegranate Season 2026 in Del Rey, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Previous safety, warehouse, manufacturing, production, food processing, or general labor experience
- Previous safety representative or safety coordinator experience
- OSHA or other safety training/certification
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices
- Ability to identify and report potential safety hazards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to confidently communicate safety rules and expectations to employees
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to complete safety reports and documentation accurately
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic computer skills
