Job Summary
Safety Representative to support the VP of Human Resources & Safety by promoting and maintaining a culture of safety across TCEC operations. Responsibilities include assisting with safety compliance, training initiatives (CPR, first aid, hazard recognition, Smith Driving, and other required safety programs), incident investigations, regulatory adherence, field safety observations, and coordination with operations and support departments to reduce risk and protect employee well-being. Acts with external stakeholders (vendors, contractors, regulatory agencies) to support compliance and reporting obligations; maintains safety-related records and supports safety program development and continuous improvement through documentation, training, coaching, and employee engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in business administration, occupational safety, or related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant utility or safety experience may be considered
- Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in electric utility operations, safety, or related field preferred
- Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver's License
- Experience supporting or coordinating utility safety programs, field operations, or regulatory compliance efforts
- Familiarity with OSHA standards, incident investigations, training coordination, and safe work practices within electric utility operations is preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with employees, leadership, contractors, and external agencies
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, utility safety practices, Microsoft Office applications, and company software systems preferred
