Job Summary
Conduct daily safety meetings, pre-job briefings, and toolbox talks while inspecting workplaces, machinery, and scaffolding to ensure compliance with safety protocols. Identify and mitigate potential hazards, remove unsafe materials, and verify workers wear proper PPE and secure fall protection. Assist in developing safety programs, perform accident investigations, and file required documentation. Educate workers on safety policies and communicate standards during walkthroughs. Write detailed reports on daily activities, inspections, and on-site accidents. Conduct periodic safety audits and ensure hazardous materials are stored in designated areas.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or master's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Risk Management or related field
- 3 years of construction safety experience
- electrical industry preferred
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the safety industry
- Demonstrates industry knowledge and independent judgment to make decisions
- Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate with individuals with a variety of backgrounds
- Must wear hard hat and work boots
