Job Summary

Develop and audit safety policies to ensure regulatory compliance while supporting safety programs across job sites. Train field leaders on protocols and hazard identification, then build relationships with internal leadership and external clients to drive positive change. Conduct incident investigations, manage work-related injuries, and coordinate evacuation drills and site-specific safety plans. Liaise with organizations and authorities for documentation and remedial actions, while coaching partners on safe practices and regulations. Identify hazards, recommend controls, and analyze corrective actions to prevent unsafe acts and conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of seven years of experience in construction, maintenance, safety, or operations
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited degree program in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or related field of study
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Valid driver's license meeting company requirements
  • CHST or CSP Certification
  • Basic knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques
  • Familiar with Federal, State, and local Environmental Health & Safety regulations
  • Familiar with construction operations
  • Ability to voice professional opinions and concerns in a tactful, authentic, and approachable manner to field leadership and stakeholders
  • Ability to identify safety-related exposures and propose corrective actions
  • Demonstrate elements of leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills to build professional relationships
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous growth by seeking out new learning initiatives and championing knowledge-sharing across the organization and with our external stakeholders

  • Able to work in a non-structured environment and flexible to reprioritize responsibilities with management direction

  • Ability to manage and re-prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be available to travel between multiple sites
  • Ability to move or transport equipment up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods, often over various and uneven terrains
  • Use of hands and fingers for tasks such as tool use, equipment operation, and typing
  • Ability to inspect equipment in various positions/confined areas
  • Must be able to work in varying climate conditions, including heat and cold
  • Must be able to work safely at heights exceeding 20 feet and within permit-required confined spaces while wearing all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in related industries, such as mechanical contracting or comparable commercial/industrial construction
