Job Summary
Conduct daily safety inspections across the facility, identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions such as installing barriers, floor markings, and emergency equipment. Perform hands-on maintenance using hand and power tools to organize safety gear, including fire extinguishers and spill kits, while supporting incident investigations and emergency preparedness drills. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and Engineering teams to execute safety projects and maintain accurate documentation logs. This on-site role in Philipsburg, NJ requires lifting up to 30 lbs and working in a fast-paced production environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 30 lbs, climbing ladders, crouching, kneeling, reaching, stretching, and working safely in active operational environments
- Must not be allergic to bees
Desired Qualifications
- Technical/trade school
- Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, construction, facilities, or maintenance
- Mechanically inclined with basic hand/power tool skills
- Familiarity with workplace safety principles (OSHA 10/30)
- Basic food safety/GMP knowledge
- Basic understanding of food safety, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Comfortable with phones, computers and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms) for documentation and tracking
- Comfortable using computers, mobile devices, and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms) to maintain documentation, and track safety data
- Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive with strong ownership and communication skills
- Experience with automation, robotics, or controlled environment agriculture
