Job Summary
Safety Officer responsible for supervising staff, improving competencies, conducting risk assessments, updating policies, organizing training, inspecting premises, investigating incidents, reporting occurrences, and maintaining safety programs and compliance across projects. Requires 3+ years of Experience in safety leadership, Bachelor’s or higher in a relevant field, familiarity with HIPAA/PII, OSHA/CSP training and BLS. Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to operate in disaster-relief/government subcontractor contexts; includes coordination with stakeholders and adherence to safety standards in potentially austere environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher in relevant field
- OSHA (Occupational Safety Health Administration) and/or CSP training
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a Safety Officer Role
- Knowledge of regulations (HIPAA/Privacy Act) regarding confidentiality of patient information and PII
