Job Summary
Safety Officers sought to join Lenape Valley Foundation’s Bright Path Center to help maintain a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment for clients and staff. The role includes responding to safety concerns, monitoring facility access, conducting routine building and perimeter checks, identifying contraband, handling behavioral escalations using de-escalation techniques, and supporting clinical staff to maintain safety. The position supports a new program from the ground up and offers full-time and part-time shifts, with overnight and weekend differential pay, a robust benefits package, and opportunities for training and professional development. Excellent verbal and written communication, the ability to work outdoors in various weather, and a strong commitment to safety are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years in security, law enforcement, or military police
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Computer proficiency and ability to respond quickly in emergencies
- Ability to stand for long periods and patrol outdoors, including overnight and in inclement weather
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Dependable, alert, and committed to safety
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without accommodation
