Job Summary
Oversee Safety Monitors at assigned facility and supervise the Safety Monitor team. Responsibilities include patrolling facility grounds, confirming proper sign-in for residents and guests, escorting visitors, conducting unit inspections, maintaining documentation, and preparing incident reports. Lead in developing training sessions for Safety Monitor staff, ensure minimum daily staff coverage, document staff issues, and submit administrative reports on time (e.g., Incident Reports, Electronic Patrol Reports). Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to supervise staff, and comfort working with homeless or disadvantaged populations, with availability for night and weekend coverage. Proficiency in Microsoft applications and effective writing skills are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- New York State Security Guard License required
- FDNY F-80 required
- FDNY F-02 required
- High School Diploma or equivalent OR equivalent experience and skills
- Demonstrated knowledge, experience, or capacity to work with homeless families/individuals and/or disadvantaged populations
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide night and weekend coverage as needed
- Computer literacy with Microsoft applications
- Good writing skills preferred
