Job Summary
Lead plant safety continuous improvement efforts by formulating a proactive local safety strategy and establishing a sustainable, healthy operational environment. Direct site-wide safety programs to minimize losses, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, the Ergonomic program, and state/federal standards through regular inspections and audits. Conduct field safety inspections, procedural audits, and incident investigations to review reports, identify corrective actions, and analyze accident statistics. Facilitate the development of safety behaviors and attitudes, communicate policy changes to management, and deliver training on ergonomics, emergency response, lockout/tag out, and hazard communication. Measure program effectiveness and support site management with strategic direction on the Safety Management system.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management Engineering, or Industrial Technology or related field
- 3 plus years of progressive experience in environmental safety and sustainability management
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations OSHA hazard communications accident investigation and safety training methods
- Knowledge of industry best practice regarding safety and environmental approaches with PSM RMP safety practices
- Standard computer skills
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Must reside in the United States to be considered

Desired Qualifications
